Arsenal’s participation in the Europa League means they will play a number of matches on Thursday night, so some of their fixtures are certain to be put back to allow them more recovery time. Fixtures are also reviewed by the Association of Chief Police Officers and British Transport Police representatives before being confirmed. There will be eight televised matches at 7.45pm on a Saturday this season. Amazon Prime will also broadcast 20 matches in 2019/20 - ten over a Bank Holiday, expected to be Boxing Day, and ten over a midweek schedule. A mid-season break will occur for the first time this season. The two-week pause will take place in February structured to ensure that Premier League matches are still played every weekend over that period. Each weekend during the break will feature five Premier League games on the first weekend and five on the following weekend. As part of this change, Emirates FA Cup fifth round matches will move to midweek.   When are the Premier League 2019/20 fixtures released? The eagerly-anticipated Premier League 2019/20 fixtures will be released on Thursday, 13th June 2019 at 9am BST. A total of 380 matches will take place between August 2019 and May 2020, scheduled so that clubs do not have more than two home or away matches in a row whenever possible. There are 2,036 matches across the Premier League and EFL over a frenetic nine-month period. Fans always enjoy looking out for key dates on the calendar including Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and the final match of the season. The last day fixtures are often decisive.
